Ivan Avdijevski is celebrated for his commanding stage presence and refined artistry, bridging the worlds of classical ballet and contemporary movement. Trained in the Vaganova tradition, Ivan brings to the stage strength and technical precision. He has performed extensively as an international touring artist with the National Opera of Ukraine, appearing on major stages across the US, Canada, France, and Japan. During Ivan’s four seasons with the Taras Shevchenko National Opera and Ballet Theatre, he built a diverse repertoire of principal and soloist roles. Ivan debuted as Franz in Coppelia and Albrecht in Giselle. HIs classical repertoire includes Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, and Don Quixote. He has also collaborated with contemporary choreographers to originate roles in neoclassical and modern works. Ivan received his formal training at the Kyiv State Ballet College and further refined his technique through an internship at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, with additional studies in London and the United States. This season, Ivan joins Triad International Ballet as a guest artist, appearing as Basilio in Don Quixote, where his virtuosity, charisma, and commanding presence promise to bring life to this beloved role.
